Make your own free website on
electronic music directory

Editor: Joerg Saretzki   This is an English edition only
(unless other stated)

   This Web site is dedicated to the wonderful realm of electronic music and intends to inform about artists of electronic music (e-m) and e-m in general. This is done either by linking to distant sites or -and that's what I am trying to set up- by providing own texts. If you would like to know what electronic music the way I understand is have a look at this site's FAQ, please.

   Since it is my purpose to inform the interested people about the artists I am trying to provide an index that is as complete as possible.

   If possible, the artists portraits that I created contain a complete listing of all works done so far.

   There are always some questions left to a site. Here you will get first aid: the "obligatory" collection of frequently asked questions (FAQ) about this site.

     =>  Visit the FAQ

   There is one index:

=> The alphabetical index:
Alphabetical order of links to the music artists' info including my info.
=> The music style index:
I also intended to sort the many artists in a different way: by their style.

There is just a problem with it. I am often (or rather always ;-)) not really sure if the classification into the second index is right. Any suggestions and help are welcome.

YOU can act too

   As you can see, the content of this page is my opinion (unless other stated). Do you have any suggestions, additions or corrections to this site?
   Please, don't hesitate to

Future outlook

Sorry, it still takes some time to add this list

   Some people know I created a long list (a very long indeed - more than 4,000 entries!) with information about mail-order companies selling electronic music cds. This list of electronic music (LEM) has been quite suitable for purchasing almost any cd of e-m.

   Unfortunately, the feedback to this list has been very modest and (financially) I invested more than I got back so far. That's why I do not maintain this list anymore. I know this is sad especially since some people thought and maybe still think (just like me) this list was good idea. Thanks to many people who supported me over the past years!

   I think it has been the first compilation of such since ever and believe me I truly regret the little feedback and discontinuance of my list.

   So as a future project of this site I will put this (old) list on the web (hopefully there will be still enough valuable information in it). Maybe there is somebody out there in cyberspace and/or real space who would like to continue my work. I would give him or her the (hardware) documents, the right and the support to continue this work. In return I would be pleased to get a copy of the list once in a while.
